Artist Application   

1. We must receive your completed application, payment and 3 portfolio images (can be uploaded below) for juried entry online or by mail. If not completing registration online: please send a check made payable to Burnet Merchants Association (BAM) to Burnet Art Festival c/o Hamilton Valley Management, P.O. Box 190, Burnet, Texas 78611.  The pdf version of the application is at the bottom of this page. 
   
   Also, you don’t want to miss the Artist Reception on Thursday night. Please RSVP because we need to let our caterer know the total attendance number.
    

2. Plein Air Application Fee:  $40 due by August 15, 2021

3. Plein Air Application Fee:  $60 if paid August 15-31, 2021                    

4. You will be notified by email of application acceptance in 5 days.

5. Application fee is non-refundable; however, you are welcome to enter the quick draw contest if you are declined for the Plein Air competition.

6. Six to ten email or mailing addresses to invite friends, family and clients to the Art Reception and Sale will be required upon acceptance to the show. Submit via mail to the address above or to artburnet@gmail.com.

7. Competing artists must be over 18 years old.

8. All painting styles are accepted, however, mixed media will not be included in the competition

9. Maximum canvas size is 320 sq.in.or 16x20

10. Maximum of 2 Plein Air Entries per artist.

11. During artist registration, you will receive your welcome letter, name tag, a copy of your registration, schedule of events, art label(complete and tape to the back of each painting, art price tags, silent auction bid sheets(complete 2 for each painting).  Entry name and price need to be consistent between art label, bid sheets and price tags.

12. The Plein Air entry includes entry into the Quick Draw.   Please confirm entry choice below.

13. Art Gallery Open Show requires separate application and fee ($20- see pay pal button below).  Please provide easels with your name attached.  Artwork must be ready for display with price included on a business card for sale purposes.

14. BAM will retain 30% of all competition pieces entered in the Plein Air, Quick Draw or Open Gallery Show, so price accordingly.

15. Art sale payments will be mailed to the artist within 10 days.

16.  Burnet Chamber of Commerce and BAM Staff, volunteers, directors and officers or agents, are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged equipment or merchandise or accident/injury to artists or their assistants and any of the above individuals or businesses will be held harmless for any and all liability.

17. It is the exhibitors’ responsibility to maintain all required licenses for sales tax as required by the State of Texas.
